Recipes Using Cream Celery Soup

We have already written about the benefits of celery for losing weight. Both the leaves and the roots of this amazing plant are deservedly respected by cooks, housewives and nutritionists around the world. Celery contains a lot of water and fiber, but it has very few calories. It perfectly helps to cope with the feeling of hunger – it saturates quickly and for a long time, reduces cholesterol level, normalizes blood pressure, improves digestion and promotes good complexion and smooth skin. Cream Celery Soup

Celery puree soup is prepared quickly and simply, literally 40 minutes. It is possible for lunch or even for dinner.

Ingredients (about 2 servings):

  • water, 1 liter;
  • 700 g celery root;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 2 bulbs;
  • 200 ml of cream;
  • vegetable or olive oil, salt, spices and herbs to taste.
  • Celery puree soup: recipe in a blender

    Peel the onions, chop and fry in a drop of oil until golden brown. Cut the carrot and celery into small pieces. Combine the ingredients in the same pot – pan, cover with cool water and put on the fire. Add spices. Bring to a boil. Then cook for about half an hour over medium heat (vegetables should be soft, but not turn into porridge). Vegetables are recommended to slightly undercook – so they will save more nutrients. Then mash the soup in a blender for a minute, until a homogeneous air mass.

    Pour in the cream and stir. Try, if necessary, salt (but you can do without salt, if you lose weight). Celery root cream soup is ready! Serve with fresh greens, a piece of toasted rye bread, toast, and crackers.
